A Day in Nature: Movement, Play, and Connection at Nydala
On Sunday, June 15, families came together for a day of outdoor activities that combined physical movement, creativity, and mindful engagement with nature. The event took place in the scenic Nydala area – a forest landscape bordered by calm woods and a sparkling lake, offering an ideal setting for shared experiences in the open air.
Adventure Path for All Ages
An 800-meter course with eleven stations invited children and adults alike to move through the forest in an active and playful way. Climbing, balancing, crawling, and running – the varied obstacles encouraged both physical challenge and joyful exploration of the natural environment.

Nature Bingo: Discovering the Details
Equipped with bingo cards, participants set out to spot elements of the surrounding nature. Whether pinecones, animal tracks, or different types of leaves, the activity inspired closer observation and sparked curiosity about the small wonders often overlooked in everyday life.

Creative and Healthy: Playing with Food
At another station, families used fruits and vegetables to build playful figures and colorful shapes. This activity offered a hands-on way to connect creativity with healthy eating, resulting in imaginative designs and plenty of shared laughter – and of course, a few tasty bites.

The Feelgood Tree
Participants were invited to reflect on what makes them feel good. They wrote or drew their thoughts on green paper leaves, which were then added to a collective tree. The result was a growing visual display of small everyday joys – from walking in the forest to spending time with loved ones.

All activities took place outdoors and highlighted the richness of what can happen when we engage with nature in meaningful ways. Feedback from participants showed a strong appreciation for the combination of movement, creativity, and a deeper connection to the environment – a day that brought people together, in every sense of the word.
