Anadia School Group Promotes Cycling for Health and Sustainability Through European Sports Day and KIDICALL MASS

As part of the RYHEALTH Project, the Anadia School Group – Escola Básica de Vilarinho do Bairro – will join the European Sports Day (September 27, 2024) and the international and national KIDICALL MASS event to organise a community activity promoting the use of bicycles. This leisure-based physical activity supports the four core pillars of the RYHEALTH Project: The Food Project, the Activity Project, the Happiness Project, and the Sustainability Project.

KIDICALL MASS seeks to encourage daily bicycle use within the community, highlighting physical activity as a driver of well-being and health.

On September 29, 2024, at 10:30 am, the Casa do Povo roundabout in Vilarinho do Bairro will serve as the starting point for a 14 km, low-difficulty route between Vilarinho do Bairro – Curia – Vilarinho do Bairro. The entire community is invited to take part.

This event is supported by the Parish Council of Vilarinho do Bairro, the Union of Parishes of Tamengos, Aguim and Óis do Bairro, and the Project on Wheels of Anadia School Group.

Nationally, Kidical Mass Portugal events will take place in 37 locations across the country, from September 15 to October 27, 2024.
