Rock Your Health (RYHEALTH) is a project of 6 partners from 4 European countries that aims to develop a holistic intervention for students, a socially integrated concept that will spread in society and will have a great impact on health promotion and disease prevention in the EU.

    University of Coimbra

    The University of Coimbra (UC) is a public higher education institution located in city of Coimbra in the Centre Region of Portugal. Founded in 1290, The University is a true icon of Portugal not only in Europe and in Portuguese-speaking territories and countries, but also in the world. UC has a unique tangible and intangible heritage, keystone in the scientific culture of Europe and the World, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2013 and integrates the 5 STARS QS Stars University Ratings. 

    It is a leading institution that offers education and research in all study levels and in nearly all study fields. Coimbra is a university city, with internationally renowned professors and a cosmopolitan student body in one of the most influential universities in the world. With more than seven centuries of history UC is at the forefront of research, always looking into the future, with 330 Courses, 25188 Students; 3000 academic and technical staff; 1753 Professors; 1197 Researchers and 38 Research Centres.

    Region Västerbotten

    Region Västerbotten is the leading provider of healthcare in Northern Sweden managing 1 university hospital and 2  public hospitals, 33 GP clinics, a strong innovation and research department and has 10.000 employees. Region Västerbotten has participated and coordinated several EU funded projects. The Region has an excellent track record in developing and evaluating health promotion and primary prevention efforts in collaboration with society.

    Outdoor Against Cancer

    Mission Statement of OAC:
    Outdoor Against Cancer (OAC) is an international NGO dedicated to health education and disease prevention. OAC's mission is to educate and inspire people to be in control of their health - to go beyond traditional healthcare and embrace a more holistic view of well-being.

    We enable individuals to be advocates of their own health through evidence-based and trustworthy information and supportive communities in the four key pillars of a healthy lifestyle: (1) Physical Activity & Outdoor Sports, (2) Balanced Nutrition, (3) Sustainability & Nature, and (4) Physical & Mental Well-being - a holistic approach for human and planetary health.

    Vision of OAC:
    OAC’s vision is to help create a world where individuals and collectives can take command of their health and pursue holistic well-being - mind, body, and a deep connection to nature. Let’s rebel to be well. 

    OAC’s four key pillars:
    (1) Physical Activity & Outdoor Sports, (2) Balanced Nutrition, (3) Sustainability & Nature, and (4) Physical & Mental Well-being.

    Anadia Group of Schools

    Anadia Group of Schools (AEAnadia) comprises 19 schools and offers a diverse educational network from kindergarten, primary, junior, secondary, adult education, Training and Certification of Competencies. 
     
    The two biggest educational units are the head school – Junior and Secondary School in Anadia and the Junior School of Vilarinho do Bairro – Escola Básica de Vilarinho do Bairro (EBVB). EBVB is a school situated in a rural area with 233 students. There is a strong sense of community and the bonds with our stakeholders are very strong. We are actively engaged in projects which foster environmentally friendly behaviour and sustainability, wellbeing, healthy diet, sports and mindfulness.

    International Montessori School

    The International Montessori School gGmbH (Campus di Monaco, CdM) operates an all-day Montessori school with a secondary and an elementary school. Campus di Monaco teaches children mostly with a refugee and migrant background according to the latest principles of migrant and inclusive education. The promotion of their participation in education, society and the professional world, and 
    their empowerment to shape a peaceful and sustainable future in a diverse society, is the essential mission of CdM. 

    Currently around 200 students visit our secondary school. Our elementary school cares for 128 students; about one third of our students has a personal refugee experience, ca. 10% suffer from mental and emotional disabilities. A team of experts (amongst others: trauma pedagogues, nutrition experts, language masters) supports our students and we strive to reduce inequalities.CdM offers a broad spectrum of e.g. nutrition courses, trauma therapy or experience oriented pedagogy courses both indoors and outdoors.

    University of Cádiz

    The University of Cádiz (UCA) is a modern university, with over 1700 academics and 21,884 graduate, master and doctoral students with 15 faculties located in 4 University Campuses. It appears in the Times Higher Education Ranking of the 1000 best universities in the world. UCA has around 1800 scientists distributed in more than 130 Research Groups.

    Related to the area of Lifestyle, Physical Activity and Health, the UCA has recently launched a Research Excellent Unit in “Lifestyle, Exercise, Aging and Health” coordinated by Dr. Jiménez-Pavón from the MOVE-IT Research group, which is valued in more than 450k€ spent in Exercise and health equipment for monitoring and exercising in health-related programs which may also be useful for the present project. According to the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) 2020, the UCA appears as one of the 500 best universities in the area of Physical Activity and Sport, and as the fourth at national level.
